🔸Masoud Pezeshkian, the president of Iran, said on Thursday, 23 Mehr, that during military clashes with the United States and Israel, “1,500 people” from the Islamic Republic’s armed forces, whom he said were “at the launcher platforms,” were killed.

🔸His reference is to missile launchers that the United States and Israel targeted during the war at Iran’s underground missile bases. These attacks were also carried out against mobile launchers on the surface, and some of them were wiped out.

🔸During the war, Iran fired hundreds of ballistic missiles at Israel and other countries in the region, in both the 12-day war and the 40-day war.

🔸In remarks that state media published, Pezeshkian said: “Those who were at the launcher platforms, 1,500 of these dear ones were martyred there. For several months, they hadn’t even come out of their shelter from which the launcher platforms would come out, and they hadn’t gone home either.”

🔸The spokesperson of Iran’s judiciary on the first of Tir announced the total number of those killed in the 40-day war as “3,519,” but did not distinguish between military personnel and civilians.
