A report backed by the Center for Strategic and International Studies and the George W. Bush Institute links the production of Shahed drones in Russia to human trafficking and forced labor.

According to the report, the technology of the Islamic Republic, Chinese components, and North Korean forced labor help in producing drones in the Alabuga region.

The report also mentions the exploitation of Russian teenagers and foreign women, and calls for sanctions on the smuggling networks and for international investigations.
