Erfan Ghanifard, a Middle East issues analyst, referring to Masoud Pezeshkian’s presence at the United Nations General Assembly, said: “Pezeshkian is not the representative of the Iranian people; the main representative of the Iranian people is Prince Reza Pahlavi.” He added: “While the Islamic Republic introduces itself as a ‘victim of terrorism,’ it has played a role in supporting armed groups in the region, and through its policy of hostility toward the United States and crisis-making, it has imposed costs on the people of Iran.”
