According to information received by Iran International, all flights by Iranian airlines to the United Arab Emirates were cancelled. Flights by Iranian airlines to the UAE were operating from cities including Tehran, Kish, Mashhad and Shiraz, but have now been cancelled.

Majid Akhvan, spokesperson of the Civil Aviation Organization, also said that Turkmenistan has not issued permission for Iranian airlines to transit through its airspace.

The spokesperson of the Civil Aviation Organization said: “Due to the lack of a permit issued by Turkmenistan, the Tehran-to-Dushanbe flight was forced to return to Tehran.”
