🔻According to reports by official news agencies in Iran, Abbas Araqchi, the foreign minister of this country, and Cho Hyun, the foreign minister of South Korea, on Wednesday—on the first of Mehr—signed an agreement for the transfer of prisoners between the two countries on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.

This agreement could affect the controversial case in recent times in which two members of Iran’s athletics national team were sentenced to “short-term imprisonment” in connection with charges of “sexual harassment” of a woman in South Korea.

In Khordad of the current Iranian year 1404, it was reported that South Korea had detained several athletes and one of the coaches of Iran’s athletics national team in connection with “sexual harassment” of a woman from that country in a hotel.

Those detained were tried in court in Azar of the previous year, and two of them were found guilty.
