In the headline of this report, citing Scott Bessent, the U.S. Treasury Secretary, it is stated that “within two weeks there may be nothing left of Iran’s economy.”

Bessent had previously said that about 15 million barrels of Iran’s oil were still on the route to delivery, and that after the Islamic Republic delivers its final oil shipments to China, according to him, it “will have nothing left to exchange.”
