🎥 Donald Trump: We stopped an attack on Iran at the request of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE
Donald Trump said that at the request of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, he has decided to call off a new attack on Iran that he described as “the biggest attack since World War II,” and has given diplomacy an opportunity.
Trump said the decision was made after discussions with the leaders of Gulf countries, including Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, as well as at the request of Iranian officials. He added that negotiations with Iran will begin on Monday, and if an agreement is reached, the attack will not take place. According to Trump, a possible deal would include reopening the Strait of Hormuz and “de-nuclearizing” Iran. He also stressed that just one day after threatening severe attacks against Iran, he preferred to give diplomacy more time instead of taking military action.
