Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said on Monday, 12 Mordad, during the issuance of an executive order at the White House that talks with the Iranian regime continue, and he described these negotiations as the “last opportunity” for the Islamic Republic to sign a suitable agreement.

President Trump said that the Islamic Republic has requested negotiations, and with support from countries including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar, talks are underway. He added that officials of the Islamic Republic sometimes deny that negotiations are happening, but now they no longer reject it.

The U.S. president also said that on Sunday the United States was ready to carry out a very wide-ranging attack against the Islamic Republic, but after the Iranian regime asked for talks to continue, this action was halted. He emphasized that the main objective of the United States is the nuclear disarmament of the Islamic Republic, and the issue of the Strait of Hormuz comes next in priority.

Referring to the previous U.S. attack on the Islamic Republic’s nuclear facilities, President Trump said that operation eliminated the Iranian government’s nuclear capabilities. He concluded by stressing that the current talks were initiated at the request of the Islamic Republic, and that “this is the last opportunity to sign a good document.”
