Donald Trump, President of the United States, wrote on Truth Social that Xi Jinping, President of China, and Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, have told him that they will not sell weapons to the Islamic Republic, and that he believes these statements. Trump added: “If they do that, it will be very bad for them; because it certainly isn’t in their interest.”
Trump wrote: “President Xi, in our recent meeting in Beijing, told me that under no circumstances will he provide the Islamic Republic of Iran with weapons or sell weapons to it; this statement also applies to Chinese companies. Given the relationship we have, I believe what he told me, and in addition, I am also doing him very big favors.”
He wrote: “Likewise, President Putin, despite the terrible war currently taking place in Ukraine (relations are still maintained, as they are with President Zelensky as well), told me that he will not sell weapons to Iran. He understands that I do not sell weapons to Ukraine, but sell them to the member countries of NATO. They pay the full price and how these weapons are distributed, I have no knowledge of.”
