👈 Saudi Engineer Arrested at the Company Making ChatGPT on Suspicion of Espionage

The U.S. Federal Police detained a 35-year-old Saudi engineer named “Abdulrahman Al-Fawzan” on suspicion of installing a covert audio recording device in one of the confidential meeting rooms of OpenAI, the company that makes ChatGPT.

According to court documents, the device was installed to potentially record confidential conversations between the company’s executives about technology, business plans, and the company’s research.
