🔻Donald Trump predicted that the war with Iran will end soon and that its inflationary effects will also be resolved.

The U.S. president, moments ago as he was leaving the White House, told reporters:

“As soon as Iran submits and the war ends—which will happen soon—the price of oil will fall.”

Mr. Trump rejected Iran’s proposal yesterday for reopening the Strait of Hormuz.

He told reporters: “I reject their proposal. They are getting crushed badly, and that’s why they want an agreement for the immediate reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.”

Earlier, The Wall Street Journal had reported, citing U.S. officials and without naming them, that Donald Trump expected that air attacks on Iran would resume after the midterm elections.

Iranian officials have said that they are offering a proposal to the United States under which Tehran would reopen the Strait of Hormuz within seven days in exchange for the simultaneous implementation of seven conditions.
