🔻Coalition led by Saudi Arabia: we intercepted three ballistic missiles fired at southern Saudi Arabia

A coalition led by Saudi Arabia, which is at war with Yemen’s Houthis, said on Friday that it intercepted and destroyed three ballistic missiles fired by the Houthis toward the city of “Khamis Mushait” in southern Saudi Arabia.

The Houthis also say that in the past 24 hours, Saudi Arabia carried out 94 attacks on Yemen.

Fighting between Saudi Arabia and Iran-backed Houthis has reached its highest level since the ceasefire supported by the United Nations in 2022.

At the same time, fighting around the strategic city of Taiz has intensified and has also involved parts of the highlands overlooking areas along the Red Sea—areas that Iran-backed Houthis have recently taken control of.

Taiz is Yemen’s third-largest city and its cultural capital, with a population of nearly one million.
