Boats collecting floating cargo from the ship «GFA’s Pride» with a Singapore flag were seen that sank in the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday, with its containers and debris scattered in waters off Oman. According to Singapore’s Maritime and Port Authority, the ship caught fire and sank after being hit by “unknown projectiles,” and all 21 of its crew were rescued. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy also announced, without naming the ship, that a “suspicious” container ship collided with a sea mine while transiting a route “outside” of the permitted one.
