The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Thursday, 23 Mehr, on the X social network that it rejects the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ report about the MV GFS Pride container ship striking a mine on Wednesday.

CENTCOM added that the vessel was hit by a projectile fired by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

The U.S. Central Command wrote that, despite this attack, commercial ships continue to transit the Strait of Hormuz (whose main routes are free of mines); over the past 24 hours, more than 40 ships have passed through.
