Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, and his wife Sara Netanyahu arrived in the United States on Thursday, Mehr 2, to give a speech at the United Nations General Assembly.

According to two Israeli officials, he will stay in New York for less than eight hours and then return to Israel; a much shorter trip than his one-week visit from last year to the United States, which included a meeting with Donald Trump, the President of the United States—at a time when relations between Washington and Tel Aviv are described as tense.

According to Netanyahu’s office, he will meet with nine world leaders, five of whom are from Latin American countries, but the statement from his office does not mention any meetings with U.S. officials on the sidelines of the General Assembly.
