BBC Verify, citing the British intelligence company “Mayar,” wrote that satellite images indicate drilling and new construction at the military bases of Garmdareh in Karaj and Shahroud. These activities were recorded in images from Aban.
The report says there are signs of rebuilding at at least 12 other military sites, including missile and air bases damaged in attacks by the United States and Israel.
Jim Lamsen, a former analyst at the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency, suggested that the drilling in Shahroud could be related to missile production, and that the Revolutionary Guards moved them underground to protect production facilities.
In Karaj as well, a new entrance to an underground facility was identified. The “Jane’s” institute has also reported the construction of a complex with tunnel entrances that may have military use or be used for storage.
According to the BBC, at the Kermanshah missile base and the Parachin complex, reconstruction and debris-clearing operations have been carried out, and parts of the Talqan 2 underground shelter have been reinforced. New drilling has also been identified near Qom and Fordow.
