Three Ryanair aircraft that were heading to Bulgaria from Madrid, Copenhagen, and London Stansted Airport were targeted by bomb-threat threats. Two planes landed in Sofia, but the flight departing from London was diverted to Plovdiv Airport, in the east of the capital. According to a spokesperson for Bulgaria’s Ministry of Transport, more than 20 instances of fake threats have been reported since the start of the week, at least seven of which have targeted Ryanair.
