🔶 Based on polling, Trump’s popularity has reached its lowest level
According to a poll, approval of Donald Trump, the U.S. president, has fallen to its lowest level in his current term. In the Reuters/Ipsos poll, only 33% of respondents said they approved of Trump’s performance in the White House, while 64% were dissatisfied.
Accordingly, a large share of American citizens are concerned that the United States’ war with Iran will drag on for a long time. In the most recent previous poll in early August, Trump’s popularity had reached 35%. The figure of 33% is the weakest level of popularity since December 2017 during his first term.
In 2017, dissatisfaction was largely driven by the view among most poll participants that Trump lacks the ability to negotiate with other world leaders and play a leadership role for the United States. In addition, Republicans’ plans for health-care reform had only about half the popularity of “Obamacare.”
Obamacare is the common name for the Affordable Care Act (ACA), which was signed in March 2010 by Barack Obama, then U.S. president, and is considered the most comprehensive health-care reform in the United States in decades.
