Widespread movement of U.S. military aircraft over the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz

Images released from flight-tracking systems show that tonight the movement of military aircraft over the Persian Gulf and within the area of the Strait of Hormuz has increased significantly.

Based on these images, several military and support aircraft are operating in the skies of countries in the Persian Gulf region, including around Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. So far, no official details about the missions of these flights have been released.
