Ataa Hosseinian, an economic and energy journalist, said that, with the implementation of the 10,000-toman gasoline plan in five provinces of Iran and the collection of the emergency fuel cards from stations, the Islamic Republic is looking at ways to increase the price of gasoline and limit its consumption.

He added that it seems this plan is part of the government’s preparations in case a new round of military hostilities occurs.
