Ata Mohammad, an international relations expert, said that despite the reduced likelihood of Hezbollah clashing with the government of Lebanon, groups close to the Islamic Republic in Iraq may increase pressure on the government of Baghdad in order to lift restrictions and resume flights from Iran. He added that these pressures could continue from sit-ins at airports to broader measures.
Mohammad also said that if the current deadlock continues and negotiations with the United States do not make progress, the Islamic Republic may gradually turn to more radical actions, including targeting air infrastructure in the region.
