As economic pressures from the United States against the Islamic Republic intensify further and Iran’s oil exports are restricted, Scott Bessent, the U.S. Treasury Secretary, said that the Islamic Republic will have no oil shipments on the water this week and that its revenue has been completely halted.
At the same time, data from energy analysis companies shows that while Iran’s oil exports from the Strait of Hormuz have dropped to nearly zero, oil exports from the Arab countries in the region have returned to pre-war levels.
