🔺An ambulance driver in Israel accused of spying for the Islamic Republic

▪An ambulance driver in the Galilee region was accused of spying for the Islamic Republic; the allegation also includes spying on Isaac Herzog, the President of Israel, and Bezalel Smotrich, the Minister of Finance of Israel, while they visited a hospital in the north of the country.

▪Israeli police said that Amir Hisham Muhammad Tayti, 34, was arrested last month in the Arab town of Ba’ina, and on Thursday, 8 Mordad, a bill of indictment was issued against him in the Haifa District Court.

▪He is accused of taking advantage of his access to medical facilities across Israel and providing sensitive information to his contact in Iran; including information about hospitals’ preparedness in emergencies.
