Amir Hamidi, a national security specialist, said the seven-day negotiations are only a diplomatic effort to prevent war, not just that.

According to him, while maintaining military readiness, the United States asks Tehran to accept specific and verifiable commitments regarding the nuclear program, missile activities, the security of the Strait of Hormuz, and regional policies.

Hamidi emphasized that the end of this deadline does not necessarily mean the start of a military attack, and that Washington’s decision depends on intelligence assessments, operational readiness, and the possible consequences of the war spreading.
