Ali Sadrzadeh, an analyst of Middle East affairs, said that if forces backing Yemen’s government can gain control of this strait, Tayz and more parts of the Red Sea coast, the balance of power will shift to the detriment of the Houthis. He stressed that the battle is still ongoing and that neither side has yet achieved a decisive victory.
