Alexey Overchuk, Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister, said that Mikhail Mishustin, the country’s prime minister, and Mohammadreza Aref, First Deputy of Masoud Pezeshkian, discussed bilateral cooperation in the field of energy—especially the construction of the Bushehr nuclear power plant—during a meeting in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan.

TASS reported on Monday, Mehr 27 (October 18), that these talks took place during Mishustin’s two-day trip to Tajikistan and before the meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

A number of senior Russian economic, energy, and diplomatic officials also accompany Mishustin on this trip.
