Al Jazeera, referring to diplomatic activity in Tehran, reported that there is hope for reaching an agreement, and it appears that an understanding has formed that there is room for negotiations, mediation, and a return to the negotiating table.

However, Al Jazeera emphasized that these moves should be assessed cautiously, because no agreement has yet been reached and officials of the Islamic Republic are currently holding talks with mediators including Qatar and Pakistan.

Al Jazeera also reported that it is expected that Iran–Oman talks and negotiations with other Gulf countries will continue.
