Ahmad Najatiyan, head of the Nursing System Organization, said: «Each year, about five thousand nurses who are working leave the service cycle.»

He added: «The volume of staff leaving is very high, and the country spends extensive resources on training nurses, without having an effective plan for recruiting and retaining them.»

Najatiyan further said: «Training each nurse costs about five to six billion tomans, but in the end either we provide the conditions for their migration or we cause them to become housebound.»
