A source close to the Islamic Republic’s negotiating team, denying published reports about direct talks between Tehran and Washington, said that Iran only negotiates with Oman over the future arrangements for managing the Strait of Hormuz, and even if an agreement is reached with Muscat, that agreement alone would not be sufficient for the full reopening of the Strait.
