A member of parliament apologized for his insulting remarks about Mahsa Amini by publishing a video. Ahmad Ariyanejad, a member of parliament from Malayer in the Islamic Republic’s parliament, had previously, in a television program referring to the protests after the death of Mahsa Amini, said that she “has attained what is meant to be reached, eight months of protests,” but that Jamal Khashoggi, the Saudi journalist, “was dismembered, and no one’s voice was raised.”
After that, Majd Amini, Mahsa (Zhina) Amini’s father, criticized the insulting remarks and wrote: “You say our dear angel ‘attained what is meant to be reached.’ May your tongue be cut off—because you ‘put a whole country’ to what is meant to be reached, and you have not received even a speck of ‘shame,’ not in terms of reason and wisdom, but not even a single bit of it.”
