A coalition led by Saudi Arabia in Yemen announced that it tracked down and destroyed a drone over the Mecca region.

Turki Al-Maliki, a spokesperson for the coalition, wrote on social media on Tuesday: “Tracking and destroying a drone in the Mecca region.”

He did not name the point of launch, and no news was released about casualties or damage.

On 9 Aban as well, the coalition reported the destruction of a drone in the Mecca region, and Reuters attributed the launch to Yemen’s Houthis.

The Houthis deny targeting Mecca and Medina.
