🔺15 teachers killed in the Dey protests and 78 teachers detained

▪The Teachers’ Movement Research Institute, in a newly released report, announced that 15 teachers, including three women and 12 men, were killed on the days of 18 and 19 Dey by security forces.

▪Based on the findings of the research, the Islamic Republic’s security forces detained 78 other teachers during the past academic year.

▪This report, prepared by the research and investigation unit of the institute, documents violations of teachers’ rights from the beginning of Mehr 1404 to 25 Mordad 1405.

▪In total, the researchers recorded 230 cases of rights violations: 39 cases against women, 158 against men, and 33 cases with an unspecified gender.

▪Among those who died, nine were employed teachers, five were retired teachers, and one was a student at the Cultural University (University of Teachers).
