Israeli army: a Hamas elite forces commander who took part in the October 7 attack was killed;

The Israeli army said that Abdel Fattah Abu al-Aish, one of the commanders of Hamas’s elite forces, was killed in an airstrike on Saturday on the Jabalya area in the north of the Gaza Strip.

According to the Israeli army, Abu al-Aish was among the forces that entered Israeli territory during the October 7, 2023 attack.

During the same attack, Raed Adel Muhammad Alian, another Hamas member, was also killed.

The Israeli army says the two men continued, even during the ceasefire period, to carry out plans to attack military and civilian forces, as well as to rebuild Hamas’s capabilities, and described these actions as violations of the ceasefire agreement.

The Israeli army said the strike was carried out with the aim of “removing a threat.”
