🔺Houthis in Yemen take control of Mokha city in the north of the Bab el-Mandeb Strait
▪The Houthi militias in Yemen, supported by the Islamic Republic, have taken control of Mokha city on the Red Sea coast, 70 kilometers north of the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
▪A military source among Yemen’s government forces told AFP on Thursday: «After taking control of Mokha, the Houthis are advancing toward the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.»
▪Eyewitnesses also told the news agency they saw Houthi forces entering the port city of Mokha while chanting «Death to America, Death to Israel.»
▪This advance is seen as a step toward the Houthis’ move to control the strategic Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
