The foreign ministry of the Republic of Azerbaijan reported the killing of two citizens of this country in a drone attack on a cargo ship in the Black Sea.

According to this statement, two Azerbaijani crew members of the ship “Tedi” were killed in the drone attack on the cargo ship in the Black Sea on Wednesday, and two other citizens of this country were injured.

The statement did not mention which country was behind the attack, but said that the injured were hospitalized in a hospital in Chornomorsk, Ukraine. In recent months, extensive attacks by Ukraine and Russia on each other’s ships in the Black Sea have intensified.

The foreign ministry of the Republic of Azerbaijan urged its citizens to avoid traveling to war zones, employment or work activities related to these areas, including work on ships.

Maritime data indicates that the aforementioned ship, flying the flag of Somalia, was present in the western Black Sea the day before and was heading toward the port of Tuzla in Istanbul Province, Turkey.
