Yemen’s Minister of Information of the legitimate government said he has reports suggesting that the Houthis, supported by the Islamic Republic, may use bullets containing prohibited toxic materials on the Al-Aqaarud and Kahlan fronts in Taiz province, describing the matter as a very dangerous development.
معمر الاریانی said in a message on the X social network that, referring to previous reports about the smuggling of chemical materials and military equipment from Iran to Yemen, he called on the United Nations and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons to take urgent action to investigate these reports and provide immediate medical and technical support to civilians.
الاریانی emphasized that if the use of these materials is proven, such an act would constitute a serious violation of international humanitarian law, and that an investigation must be carried out into the origin of the materials, the smuggling routes, and the factors involved in their use.
