🔻Yazd Prosecutor Announces the “Seizure of Assets” of a Female Political Activist Outside Iran
The Yazd prosecutor says that the assets of a female political and social activist who lives outside Iran have been seized or blocked following the “formation of a judicial case and the issuance of a judicial order to seize or block.”
Mehdi Hassanpour, the prosecutor of Yazd Province, said that “one vehicle, one registration plate, the balances in bank accounts, and five mobile phone lines belonging to this person” have been seized or blocked.
According to him, these measures were carried out after reviewing the person’s online activities and the publication of posts and stories that the judicial officials have described as “contrary to national security.”
The Yazd prosecutor said the purpose of these measures is to prevent the transfer of assets until the case is decided.
Yazd judicial authorities have not announced the identity of the woman or the details of the published content.
