🔺 Wave of condemnation from Arab countries after IRGC attack on UAE oil tanker

▪ Saudi Arabia and the Yemeni government joined Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Syria, and the Gulf Cooperation Council in condemning the missile attack on the oil tanker of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company in the Strait of Hormuz.

▪ The United Arab Emirates blamed the Islamic Republic for the attack and said the behavior of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps amounts to piracy at sea.

▪ The Saudi foreign ministry condemned the attack in “the strongest terms” and called it a serious violation of international law. In a statement, the ministry said: “These deplorable attacks are an assault on maritime navigation security and safety, as well as global energy supply security.”

▪ Yemen’s foreign ministry described the attack as a “serious threat to maritime security and safety and to commercial vessels”
