🔺Vance: The Islamic Republic must provide a verifiable commitment in its nuclear program

▪The U.S. vice president said Washington is seeking a “long-term and verifiable” commitment from the Islamic Republic that it will not rebuild its nuclear program.

▪J.D. Vance, speaking in a Q&A session with CBS at a Flat Rock event in the U.S. state of Michigan, said “Have we destroyed Iran’s nuclear program? Yes is the answer.”

▪He cited this objective as the main reason for Donald Trump’s operations. In a phone election rally on Mehr 23, Mr. Trump also announced, “We have taken nuclear weapons from Iran.”

▪Vance also said, in response to a question about war with the Islamic Republic, that in some respects we have decisively won, but that the other side’s reactions cannot be completely ignored.
