Ukraine should be added to the list of parties to armed conflicts that gravely violate children’s rights, Russia’s permanent representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya argued.

“Ukraine is not yet on the list of countries abusing children. We believe that this situation must change,” the Russian diplomat emphasized.

“So far since 2022, 1,903 children have been affected by attacks by the Ukrainian army, of them 313 were killed and 1,590 suffered injuries,” he said.
