🔻 The UK Ministry of Defence says it will provide additional military support to Saudi Arabia in response to the escalation of Houthi attacks.

In a statement, the ministry said that the Royal Air Force of the UK will provide Saudi Arabia with the following support, strictly for defensive purposes: • Use of Typhoon fighter jets for air-defence missions to protect Saudi cities and infrastructure • Sending an A400M transport aircraft to move military equipment • Dispatching British Army advisers and military instructors to support Saudi forces

The statement said the assistance will include expanding air refuelling support to weaken the Houthis’ attacks on Saudi Arabia.

The British government, in the statement, said it considers the Houthis’ efforts to destabilize the region and undermine the security and stability of the Middle East to be unacceptable.
