🔻 UEFA on Thursday, in an emergency meeting that Rob Harris had first reported, will discuss the “FIFA Forward” plan (FFE); a plan under which FIFA’s commercial and operational divisions are merged into an entity financed by private investors.

🔹 Infantino, in a letter to all 211 FIFA member federations, has given them until September 19 to express support for this plan, and if they do so, they will receive a one-time payment worth 40 million dollars.

🔹 In response, UEFA once again issued a sharp statement and wrote: “Today we learned that FIFA has set a deadline for member federations to support this body’s proposals; otherwise, it will withdraw the one-time payment offer. This alone shows everything about the plan.”

🔹 UEFA wrote that it has spoken with many other “football stakeholders” on the matter and concluded that there is broad and growing opposition to FIFA’s plan: “FIFA cannot continue to use football to make itself and its associates richer.”
