🔻U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the “Gaza Peace Delegation” has reached a “historic” agreement for the complete disarmament of Hamas and all other armed groups in Gaza.

It is not yet clear whether Hamas and Israel are also part of this agreement. So far, neither side has commented on the statement.

Mr. Trump said Thursday night in a message posted on his social media that “this agreement is a major step toward establishing peace and lasting security.”

He added that the agreement will set the stage for Gaza to be administered by a new Palestinian government; a government, he said, will cooperate with the “peace delegation” to help Palestinians. Donald Trump also said that Israel will enjoy security, which, according to him, it “deserves,” and that Gaza will no longer become a base for “terrorist” attacks.
