The weirdest and funniest thing that happened in this country in recent years was the story of Kouroush Company.
Kouroush Company took 20 million from 200,000 people, ate up about 4,000 billion tomans of the people’s money, and then fled. These 200,000 people went to the Judiciary, paid 230,000 tomans each, and filed complaints; around 48 billion tomans was deposited into the Judiciary’s account. Ten thousand of these complainants went and hired a lawyer, paid 12 million tomans each, and the lawyer took 120 billion tomans and fled—went to Turkey. Now, these same ten thousand people have to pay 1.2 million tomans each to the Judiciary again in order to sue that lawyer; in the end, another 12 billion tomans will be added to the Judiciary’s account :))
