The United States is still considering a joint production of components for the Patriot systems with Ukraine, including teaming up with European countries, US Permanent Representative to NATO Matthew Whitaker said.
"I don't think anything has changed [in the position of US President Donald Trump]. He's talking obviously about the Patriot-3 missiles that are very controlled export wise, and you know we do not allow anybody but US manufacturers to make those in the United States. But there are opportunities for joint production with Ukrainians and Europeans to expand the industrial base and support Ukraine's and Europe's defense. We are currently working on several such agreements," Whitaker said.
