Charles III, the King of Britain, praised his efforts for peace and for “keeping the Strait of Hormuz open” at a grand state dinner held at Windsor Castle in honor of Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, the King of Oman.

He also, during the dinner, which included food of partridge and ... , emphasized Oman’s mediation in the diplomatic talks related to the war between the United States and Israel with Iran, and thanked Muscat for its efforts to find “common ground” among the parties involved.

The Sultan of Oman, in response, said that his country is “seeking solutions,” and added: “We believe in dialogue.”

Oman is one of Britain’s important partners in the Middle East. When welcoming the Sultan of Oman, the British king greeted him in Arabic.

The visit is being carried out in a sensitive time for the region. Oman is on the other side of the strategic Strait of Hormuz and is a neighbor of Iran.

Today, Wednesday, the Sultan of Oman will go to the office of the British Prime Minister in central London to meet with Andy. It is expected that the two leaders will sign a document to “speed up mutual investment” between Oman and Britain.
