The political deputy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy warned that in the event of a new war, American ships and destroyers will be targeted even in the Indian Ocean.
According to Fars News Agency, Ali Mohammadi said on Saturday, the 4th of Mehr, in a gathering in Bandar Abbas: “If another war breaks out, without a doubt we will attack and hit their vessels and destroyers even in the Indian Ocean.”
Mohammadi also said that the vessels present in the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, and the Sea of Oman are under surveillance by the IRGC Navy.
The political deputy of the IRGC Navy said that the armed forces have prepared themselves, “with initiatives, equipment, and new operational methods,” to confront any possible movement.
Three weeks ago, Mohammadi had said that, in the 10 days leading up to August 8, the IRGC Navy “punished and chastised” between two and five “vessels” every night.
