🔶 The next round of Lebanon and Israel talks will be held on 13 Mordad in Rome
The U.S. Department of State confirmed that the next round of talks between Lebanon and Israel, mediated by the United States, will be held in Rome next week.
The technical teams of the two countries are scheduled to meet and hold discussions on August 4 to 6 (13 to 15 Mordad). The meeting of the Lebanese and Israeli delegations will focus on advancing and implementing an agreement that the two countries signed last month in order to establish peace.
At this meeting, the presence of the Israeli army in southern Lebanon and also ground border disputes between the two countries are expected to be examined.
As reported by The Times of Israel, the country’s defense forces carried out last week the first steps in line with withdrawing from southern Lebanon, despite the fact that Beirut accuses Israel of preventing the efforts and operations of the Lebanese army in these areas.
