The New York Times, citing officials, claimed that JD Vance, the vice president of the United States, in a letter to Mohsen Rezaee, proposed that officials from the two countries meet soon.

According to this report, Vance has called for an immediate resumption of comprehensive negotiations, including on Iran’s nuclear program, and stressed direct talks.

He also announced that he himself would chair the American negotiating team.

It is said that the letter was sent on Sunday via Qatar, and Mohsen Rezaee is expected to respond to it by Thursday
