The Moscow election system was subjected to a powerful outside attack over the past night and it still continues, Central Election Commission (CEC) Chair Ella Pamfilova said.
“According to our most recent information, the Moscow system was under a very powerful and continued attack throughout night. This attack is ongoing and it is very large-scale and intense,” she said.
Pamfilova noted that all attacks are being repelled and remote electronic voting in Moscow is in the standard operational mode.
“All technical experts and the organizers of the vote are keeping the situation under full control. The system’s security provides for an interrupted operational mode during the voting,” she added.
